The Welcome Table by House of Welcome
A social enterprise that supports people seeking asylum and refugees to gain skills, confidence and independence, while helping break down the barriers that limit their employment opportunities and social inclusion.
What we do
The Welcome Table, formerly House of Welcome Catering, offers more than great food—it's a path to independence. We provide paid traineeships and real-world hospitality experience in a supportive, safe environment. Experienced chefs and mentors guide trainees in kitchen skills, confidence, and Australian workplace experience. Through catering, meal support, and community connections, we create meaningful employment pathways for people seeking asylum and refugees.
In FY25, we’ve invested $122K into trainee wages
Since 2018, supported over 21 traineeships tailored for people seeking asylum and refugees—creating lasting, positive social impact in our community.
