Donating to our foodbank

Donating food and material aid to our community foodbank is one of the most immediate ways you can help people seeking asylum and refugees. Our clients often rely on food donations to sustain their families and their health.


Why your donation matters

Every day, people seeking asylum and refugees face immense challenges. Many are ineligible for government assistance and rely solely on the kindness of others to meet their basic needs. By donating food and essential items to our community food bank, you provide immediate relief and hope to people and families seeking asylum access nutritious food and essential items.

What we need:
Essential items to donate

  • Help us stock our shelves with nutritious and versatile foods that can be easily prepared by families:

    • Canned Tuna in oil

    • Cooking oil

    • Tea and coffee

    • Sweet biscuits

    • Honey

    • Jam

    • Basmati rice

    • Crushed tomatoes (with ring pull)

    • Cereals

    • Raw lentils

    • Salt, pepper, and spices

    • Instant noodles (chicken flavor)

    • Sweet corn kernels

    • Tinned fruit

    • Flour

    • Raw sugar

    • Deodorant

    • Cleaning products

    • Sanitary pads (please no tampons)

    • Body soap and body wash

    • Toothpaste and toothbrushes

    • Shampoo and conditioner

    • Toilet rolls

    • Dish cloths

    • Toilet cleaner

    • Dishwashing liquid

    • Laundry powder

    • Nappies (Large Sizes 5/6)

How to donate

Drop off

Visit our centre and drop off directly to our foodbank stall to one of our volunteers or staff. To organise a time, reach out to us.

Donation drives

Community groups, schools, and businesses regularly organise donation drives to support our foodbank. Whether you’re part of an organisation or an individual, hosting or joining a drive is a great way to help people seeking asylum and refugees.

Monetary donations

Can’t donate items? Your financial support helps us purchase exactly what’s needed and cover operational costs.
