The House of Welcome Housing Program provides safe accommodation and case work for people seeking asylum in Sydney, who have little or no access to other government or social housing options.

Safe housing is the first platform in allowing people to regain control and dignity and to have some security in an often turbulent time. The program provides a stable environment for clients and links people into the wrap-around support provided by the centre.  

The program is essential for people seeking asylum who are denied access to government support services and can be without financial means across their refugee status resolution process.

Through the program clients are further equipped with the necessary information and support needed to help them transition, when possible, into independent community living. We currently maintain 23 properties across Sydney, with an average stay of 12 months.
